In the book of Isaiah, the Lord warns against empty ritualism as an attempt to please the Lord. He goes on to describe the character of true worship and in 58:7, He questions the people, asking ‘is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to they house?’ The goal of the Three Squares ministry is to do just that- feed the hungry and help the hurting. We believe that a heart right with the Lord will spill over into a heart that loves others. Established three years ago as an outreach in the tri-county areas of Forsyth, Fulton and Dawson, the ministry offers food year round to those in need. However, there are two main food drives that take place at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Each year during these times, countless meals are prepared and taken to families who, for whatever reason, do not have the means to provide one. Along with the food aspect, we seek to provide through other outlets, such as a school supply drive at the end of the summer in efforts to collect items needed for kids who can’t afford back-to-school necessities. As we look to the future, our prayer is that God will open up more opportunities for the ministry to be a blessing to those in need.
