John 8:12 states, 'Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.' Sharing His Light Ministry was established in November of 2003 to take the light of Jesus Christ and spread the Gospel throughout the nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the Forsyth County community. The first services were held at Chestnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Cumming, GA. Since then, four more facilities have opened up their doors for our ministry. Between the five centers, we hold eighteen services a month. Through God’s blessings, we have witnessed a wonderful harvest, with several souls accepting Christ as Savior and many receiving assurance. Beyond the church services, this ministry allows an opportunity to comfort and pray with residents and their families and reach out to them during difficult times. As we look toward the future, our prayer is that God will continue to open doors to get into the remaining Senior facilities within the Cumming/Forsyth area and that God will  touch people’s hearts to join us in reaching the senior citizens of our community.
