Greater Heights Baptist Church was born in March of 2008. It began in a rental building beneath a ballet studio while we waited for God to show us the next step. The Lord provided us with a 53,000 square foot building on the western side of the county, and our congregation quickly began phase 1 of a multi-part building process to transform an old warehouse into a church.  In the fall of 2009, after many, many hours of prayer and manual labor, our first services were held.

Our church has continued to grow since we have moved to our new location, both physically and spiritually.  Evidence of such growth can be seen through the various ministries the Lord has blessed us with here at GHBC. Along with youth and adult classes for every age and life phase, our church is also actively involved in multiple nursing homes throughout the community, with several services held weekly. We have a food drive ministry, Three Squares, as well as a bus ministry that seeks, just as the Lord tells us in Luke, ‘to compel them to come.' Currently, our church supports 76 missionaries monthly and, each year, we seek to increase this number at our annual Missions Conference.

With Phase 1 of our current location now complete, we look forward to begin the next step, which includes a new children’s auditorium, more Sunday school classrooms, an in-door play-area and a sports complex that will be used to minister to the surrounding communities through athletics.

As we look to the future, we are excited and encouraged at what the Lord is going to do with GHBC. Our number one goal is to bring honor and glory to God and to be faithful stewards with the talents and time He has given us. Through His blessings, we are able to see where He has brought us from, as both individuals and as a church family, and because of that, we can trust him, by faith, to carry us into the future!
